Shoot 360 and West Coast Elite Basketball Team Up to Help the Homeless!

When John Peterson (JP) of Shoot 360 www.shoot360.com/ and Jason Simon and Scott Martin of West Coast Elite Basketball www.westcoastelitebasketball.com/ make up their minds to do something, they do it big! They recently decided to team up with SFTH and host a one day shoe drive. Typically, shoe drives are scheduled for 3-6 weeks, but they wanted to do it in one day. Their collective goal was to collect at least 1,000 pairs of shoes. The results were spectacular and they collected a total of 1,712 pairs of beautiful men’s, women’s and children’s athletic shoes from their employees, teammates and neighbors. Most of the shoes were new or nearly new.

The majority of the shoes collected were directed to homeless men, women and children of the Union Rescue Mission, Los Angeles Mission and Midnight Mission. Shoes for the Homeless, Inc. also provides shoes to many other non-profit organizations who serve the homeless on a daily basis.
