Great Job Cleveland Stand Down! - 5,000 Pairs of Shoes Collected and Distributed To the Homeless
Thank you to Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) under the leadership of Rob Zaremsky for organizing and running the Cleveland Stand Down on April 23, 2022. Shoes for the Homeless, Inc. participated. Approximately 5,000 pairs of men’s, women’s and children’s shoes were collected and distributed to the homeless and those in need including lots of veterans. This was a terrific collaboration of many faith based organizations, 40 businesses, many non-profits and city government. The police department participated in a Fill the Truck day and collected hundreds of pairs of shoes. There were approximately 450 volunteers who participated including 30 barbers. Lots of other items and services were given away too. This was a wonderful event and many people benefited. Congratulations Cleveland on a job very well done! Thank you Rob!
