Shoes for the Homeless (SFTH) is a non-denominational, non-profit/501(c)(3) organization that collects, processes, and distributes shoes, free of charge, to the homeless and those in need. With our partners, SFTH is working to create a future in which every man, woman, and child has the tools and confidence to take the next step in their lives.

Dr. Ira Diamond is a retired podiatrist who has treated homeless individuals and those in need for over 25 years in the Greater Los Angeles area. Throughout his career, he has seen the many types of foot problems that develop when individuals have inadequate shoes or no shoes at all. Dr. Diamond began collecting and distributing shoes informally early in his career; in 2011 he officially founded SHOES FOR THE HOMELESS, Inc.
